Management & Staff

Our managers can set their own schedules, work mostly at home, and earn a high income based on company performance. Each manager performs two roles:

  • Department Manager - must have prior success in a small business or entrepreneurial venture, supervisory experience, and expertise relevant to the department. Prior leisure travel industry experience is required for some positions.



  • R&D Team Member - must be able to research/explore special interest seminars and tourist destinations worldwide, and constructively participate in an intellectually challenging tour development process.

Membership Director

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and improve the overall experience our customers have with us, and develop a long-term relationship in which they view us as their primary vacation supplier
  • Analyze our members' responses to surveys, and provide our management team with a clear picture of who our members are, where they live, and what they want from a vacation
  • Work with the Marketing Director and Sales Manager in developing sales strategies and promotional tools (webpage copy, sales letters, etc.) for our tour programs 
  • Handle or supervise non-routine emails and calls from members, providing exceptional customer service
  • Publish monthly or quarterly ezine for our members
Qualifications:
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Understanding of consumer direct selling methods and online marketing, preferably in the leisure travel industry
  • Basic familiarity with data management and statistical analysis methods
  • Ability to work 20 hours minimum per week, partly at home, with the capacity to meet increasing responsibilities as our company grows

Account Executive

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Sales Manager to identify and contact, usually face-to-face, prospective group tour clients, such as affinity organization leaders and association executives
  • Determine client's group travel needs and communicate them to our tour development and marketing staff
  • Present and sell a proposed group tour designed specifically for client's membership, including itinerary, topic oriented activities, pricing, and suggested marketing strategy
  • Assist the affinity group client in selling the tour to its members, via meetings and online promotion
  • Follow up for post-tour feedback and future sales
  • Provide monthly client contact reports to Sales Manager
  • Join regular conference calls for sales meetings and training sessions
Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative to work as a self-starter without direct supervision
  • Understanding of consumer direct selling methods and online marketing
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint for customizing your presentations to groups and their leaders
  • Ability to work 10 hours minimum per week, mostly out of your home
  • Talent for developing long term relationships with group clients

Marketing Director

Responsibilities include:

  • Research leisure travel industry and report findings to production and sales staff
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan with emphasis on viral concepts, but also including press releases, online subscriber lists, cooperative advertising, and direct sales calls
  • Create promotional tools (webpage copy, sales letters) in collaboration with our Membership Director and Sales Manager
  • Develop strategy and tactics for promoting each tour departure in collaboration with our Membership Director and Sales Manager 
Qualifications:
  • Broad experience in internet-based marketing & website functionality
  • Familiarity with selling directly to consumers, preferably in the leisure travel industry
  • Business degree in Marketing or commensurate work experience
  • Ability to work 10 hours minimum per week, mostly at home, with the capacity to meet increasing responsibilities as our company grows

Topics Developer

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching topics of popular interest
  • Researching recognized experts who might travel with one or more of our tour groups as a Topic Presenter
  • Collaborating with the presenter to develop about 10 hours of presentations and activities, to be included as part of a weeklong tour
  • Consulting with our tour design staff to integrate topic sessions with tour itineraries
  • Writing appealing descriptions of both topic and presenter, to be posted as a page on our website
  • Managing the presenters after we have scheduled them for an actual tour departure, helping prepare presentation materials, and reviewing post-tour evaluations
  • Writing webpage text, company presentations, press releases, and articles
Qualifications:
  • Solid familiarity with a broad range of popular cultural and social activities, including hobbies, recreation, art, history, literature, music, science, technology, and personal development
  • Experience that relates closely to interviewing experts and researching their fields to discover topic treatments that will be most appealing to our members
  • Understanding of consumer direct selling methods and online marketing, with proven success in writing professional sales copy
  • Degree in Journalism preferred
  • Ability to work 10 hours minimum per week, mostly at home, with the capacity to meet increasing responsibilities as our company grows

Assistant Purchasing Director

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching vacation destinations worldwide, including some site inspection travel
  • Designing tour itineraries in detail
  • Negotiating rates with selected vendors
  • Preparing quotations for customized affinity group tours
  • Compiling destination information and writing descriptions for web pages
  • Reserving and managing room blocks and other services on active departures, approving payments, and reviewing post-tour evaluations
Qualifications:
  • Solid familiarity with all aspects of group tour design, development, and pricing
  • Four or more years' vendor management experience in the leisure travel industry
  • Ability to work 10 hours minimum per week, mostly at your home office, with the capacity to meet increasing responsibilities as our company grows

Web Graphics Developer

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing data-driven web pages
  • Learning business & user requirements, with limited writing of functional code
  • Work with other IT team members to integrate design & function
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Information Technology and/or Management Sciences, or commensurate on-the-job training
  • Proficiency in web design and limited programming, using HTML, XML, JavaScript, ASP, .NET, and VBScript
  • Experience with E-commerce page designs
  • Effective communication skills and ability to meet deadlines in a distributed environment
  • Ability to work 10 hours minimum per week, mostly at home, with the capacity to meet increasing responsibilities as our company grows
